![]() ![]() This is pretty obvious when she accidently gives herself away while tailing someone on a mission and that's how she meets Hanzo (he basically captures her thinking she's a suspicious person). He gets shit done, is extremely reliable, and is very much about the ninja lifestyle believing that you either complete your mission or die and that's just how it's supposed to be.Įnju (MC) is a brand new ninja on her first mission. Their love for each other slowly changes them both, making them stronger and it's very obvious why these two fall for each other.įirst impressions of Hanzo are that he's very stoic (could possibly even be perceived as cold), and he's widely renowned as the most badass ninja in existence. I think their romance is very believable, it's not forced and it takes time to blossom between them (much more realistic than some otomes where things can feel rushed). Ahhhh.)įor me it's definitely Hanzo from Nightshade. He goes through hell just to protect you because he loves you. Non-voltage games that I can think of with routes I'd consider heartwarming and romantic are Kent from Amnesia (poor boy was just really trying to figure out how to be a decent boyfriend) and Saint Germain (I categorized Code Realize as being a really plot-centric game, but seriously, ST. I'm sure the fandiscs for Code Realize and Collar x Malice will have that as well (hopefully). Voltage also gets the upper hand in having stories with the MC actually being a couple with the different love interests, which I think makes it really easy to amp up the romance factor. Sosuke from Finally, In Love Again was also very cute and romantic in my opinion. I just finished the free story - My Last First Kiss with Ichiya Misono, and that was super cute and romantic. Because their stories aren't as fleshed out as some of the other "main" games, I think they're heavier on the romance. I really enjoy plot-centric otomes though! But I think that's where Voltage shines. ![]() A lot of the other games (like Code Realize, Collar x Malice, Mystic Messenger, etc.) are very plot-heavy, and even though there's a romantic aspect to them, the routes are bogged down with all the other stuff happening and so the romance is muted in a sense. In my opinion, out of all the otome games (and other VNs) that I've played, I feel like the Voltage games are more romantic than most of the other games. ![]()
